Aug  25 & 26, 2007             Teardrop Lake/Upper Snow Creek

Fremont Rescue was called out Saturday night at 10:30pm, to look for two missing men, who were camping with a group of friends at Teardrop Lake.

Rescue members responded with ATV's, motorcycles, and several walked through the dense forest to find the missing men. At about 4 a.m. one of the men emerged from the woods, but didn't know the location of the other man, who was his nephew. The two men were arguing and had split up.

A short time later, their four-wheel ATV was discovered in the woods, completely on fire.

Search dogs were brought in to assist in the search, as well as two helicopters that were utilized, one of them was used to dump water on the ATV fire. Several horses were also brought in to help navigate through the difficult terrain.

At about 7 p.m. Sunday evening, the missing nephew was found walking along another road, and was returned to his party.
