October 16, 2005            Robison Creek / Rock Creek Girls Camp

15 Fremont County Search & Rescue members responded to an overdue hunter just beyond the Girl Scout Camp on lower Robinson Creek in Fremont County Idaho. The  Boise hunter had left to retrieve a downed moose from a successful hunt. Shortly after rescue members arrived at the search area, the lost individual returned, moose not yet recovered.  The downed moose was high on a ridge, and two search and rescue members, along with two individuals on horses, volunteered to assist the hunter bring the moose to the hunter's camp.   In an attempt to climb the last bank of lower Robinson Creek, one search member was injured when the large ATV vehicle carrying the 1000 pound moose overturned onto the search and rescue member and one other individual.   The rescue member sustained rib injuries and bruises, was transported to the hospital, and was treated and released.  The other individual was not injured.
